Corduroy shredding, groomer bombing, railroad tracks... whatever you want to call it, the recent stretch of sunny weather has been perfect for carving arcing turns on-piste. With more sunny days to come, we've partnered with OpenSnow so we always know the right equipment to bring to make the most of whatever sort of day it is on the mountain. While the fleeting beauty of a powder day is always something worth celebrating, we've rounded up a few of our favorite "old-reliable" runs that make every day at Telluride feel special.
See Forever
Head up any one of four separate lifts to enjoy the cruise down this long, scenic groomer which lives up to it's name with incredible views all over the San Juans. The best access comes from the Revelation Chair, which will give you the most time on this nearly 3 mile long adventure.
Bushwacker and The Plunge
Are you looking for something a little more heart-pounding? You'll be channeling your inner ski racer down these fast and exciting groomed expert runs off of Chair 9 that show off Telluride's reputation for steeps. At least one of these two sister runs is always groomed for some high-speed carving.
Bridges
This run is particularly popular with little shredders because, as implied by the name, it has fun dips below the traffic bridges on the mountain. This low-angle run still has plenty of fun to offer all abilities for the race-track feel and various twists and pitch changes.
Misty Maiden
This girl's a beauty! Misty maiden offers the classic, picture-perfect open cruiser for relaxing and enjoying your ski day. Arc some turns in the fresh corduroy for the feeling of pure glide on your edges. Your teeth will get cold from all the smiling!
