Mountain Village Bike Park

Mountain biking is the best way to explore scenic Telluride. The town has a large area of designated bike trails suitable for any age and skill level. Old mining roads and single-tracks in the region climb 9,500 feet to historic sites and rugged mountain beauty. But for the thrill seeking adventurers the Mountain Village Bike Park is a must. The park is serviced by Telluride's free gondola and  can be accessed from the St. Sophia Gondola station. Open throughout the summer from mid-June till October, Mountain Village Bike Park offers the best intermediate and expert  downhill biking in the area.

 No-Brainer Trail

Rated as difficult this bike trail is 1.5 miles long and for the most part provides a 24-inch path with small unavoidable obstacles present such as gravel, rocks and roots. No-Brainer is a smooth, rolling and curvy trail which runs from the top of the Bike Park at Station St. Sophia, to the bottom at the Mountain Village Center.
 
T-Bone Trail
T-Bone is a narrow, 12-inch wide trail rated as "More Difficult". It features  moderate slopes and unavoidable obstacles less than six inchess tall and avoidable taller obstacles. The trail forks off from the No-Brainer Trail and reconnects after 0.3 miles following weaving turns through the trees.  
 
Cocoa Loco Trail
This short and steep trail forks off the T-Bone Trail and reconnects after 0.1 miles. It is marked as "Advanced" and consists of steep slopes, tight tree lines and several man-made wooden features as well as natural unavoidable obstacles up to 12 inches tall.
 
Gold Rush Trail
Marked as "Most Difficult" Gold Rush is an exciting 0.75-mile spur off the No-Brainer Trail starting near the Bike Park entrance. Expect a 12-inch wide trail, which weaves through steep slopes with multiple trail routes, small jumps, drops and rock gardens. 
 
World Cup Trail
World Cup Trail forks off the Gold Rush Trail 0.4 miles from the Bike Park entrance. This "Expert Only" trail is very steep and at places less than 12-inch wide.Riders should expect 0.75 miles of unavoidable obstacles of up to 10 feet tall consisting of log jams, steep drops, jumps and berms.
