Telluride Regional Airport to Offer Commercial Jet Service for the First Time

April 5, 2019

Of the many wonderful things you could say about visiting Telluride, there's no denying it can be inconvenient to get here. Today, that has all changed! Denver Air Connection, in partnership with United, has announced daily flights from Denver into Telluride Regional Airport (TEX), just 10 minutes from downtown Telluride. Service begins May 15th.

This is the first time that TEX will offer commercial jet service. The 30-seat Dornier 328JET flights will operate daily and year-round, with the exception of short low-season breaks in the spring and fall. The schedule is optimized for those making connections through Denver, and the flights will only last 40 minutes, way more effective than the drive, which takes more than six hours.

Telluride is known for being Conde Nast's Number 1 Ski Resort not just for it's incredible terrain, but for it's top notch service and excellent shopping and dining. In the summer, Telluride is Colorado's Festival capital, hosting several popular music and arts festivals that bring travelers from all over the region.

“Through the combined efforts of all the involved parties, we are thrilled to announce this milestone in air service for the Telluride region. Jet service for the Telluride airport, located just 10 minutes from downtown and the slopes, will provide both our residents and visitors fast, comfortable flights from Denver and United’s worldwide connections beyond.” said Matt Skinner, the COO of Colorado Flights.

We look forward to making the Telluride Experience even more focused on making memories and less on getting here!
