Valentine’s Day Ideas In Telluride

February 8, 2019

If you’re escaping to Telluride for Valentine’s Day this year, you’re in luck — Telluride boasts some of the best date spots and activities compared to other ski towns.

Check out these featured Valentine’s Day activities, and enjoy your romantic weekend in Telluride!

1. Take A Ride With Telluride Sleighs and Wagons

Take in the scenic San Juan mountings with Telluride Sleighs and Wagons this Valentine’s Day. Meet at the Aldasoro Sheep Ranch and get ready for a ride filled with unparalleled views of the beautiful Telluride countryside. After riding in a horse-drawn sleigh or wagon for a few miles, you’ll disembark and enjoy a family-style dinner in a canvas tent. Don’t worry — it’s much warmer than it sounds thanks to the wood-burning stove.

These sleigh rides tend to fill up, so be sure to book your trip early to ensure a spot.

2. Feast At The Tunnel

As the name suggests, The Tunnel isn’t one of Telluride’s easily accessed restaurants. In fact, guests can only enter this speakeasy-esque joint with a password provided. In addition for its secrecy, The Tunnel is also known for its delicious, globally inspired cuisine.

The restaurant changes its menu frequently, rotating between cuisine styles such as Japanese, South America, Creole, and Northern Italian. Whichever cuisine they’re featuring for Valentine’s is sure to be delicious.

3. Drink At Telluride Brewing Co.

For the couple that wants a more casual Valentine’s Day, look no further than the Telluride Brewing Company. Split a sampler tray and then enjoy a few rounds at this local’s favorite joint. If you’re not sure what to order, start with Telluride Brewing Co.’s flagship beers: the Freaky Fish Belgian Double IPA, redFISH American Red Ale, and Tripel in Stillwater Belgian Tripel.

Telluride Brewing Company doesn’t serve food, so make sure to eat before or after stopping by the brewhouse. While you can’t get food, you can score some swag.

If you’re spending the long weekend in Telluride for Valentine’s Day, you’re already making a great decision. Get in some of the world’s best turns during the day on the slopes, and then relax with your special someone for the après!
